All of our matchas are freaky + delicious, but subtle differences in how leaves are grown, picked, and handled can affect the tea’s color, texture, and taste. Each of our matchas reflect their own individual story

Every growing region has its own unique standards for tea produced within it. Tea flavor also varies depending on the environment, elevation, and overall terroir of the area.
Our tea is grown in a valley overlooking Ise Bay. The valley is situated at the base of a mountain range with high, snow-covered peaks for most of the year. The hot and cold sea air cycling through at different parts of the year, combined with rich, porous coastal soil, makes it an ideal environment for tea growing.
Our matcha has wonderful, subtle salinity and brightness, natural umami sweetness, and very little bitterness.
